Flow cytometry is a technique used to analyze and sort cells or particles based on their physical and chemical characteristics. It involves passing cells through a laser beam and measuring their size, complexity, and fluorescence, allowing for detailed analysis of cell populations and various cellular properties.
Flow Cytometry facility’s mission is to assist and advice users for experimental design in flow cytometry experiments, sample acquisitions, data analysis and to provide cell sorting and cloning service. The flow cytometry staff also provides theoretical and technical training and troubleshooting support.
The facility is accessible to internal users (University of Geneva and HUG) but also to external users (industry & other academics).
The facility is located within the Faculty of medicine, building C of the Centre Medical Universitaire (CMU).
