What role did ethics play in the Credit Suisse debacle? - an interview with Rajna Gibson

 

In a recent interview with Le Temps, Professor Rajna Gibson suggests that a bank weakened internally due to inappropriate risk management and unethical governance will, by definition, be vulnerable to a loss of confidence.

She stresses that the ethical values of leaders should be taken into consideration in the banking sector, but also beyond it. Finally, she suggests ways to improve monitoring and emphasizes the importance of teaching ethics, which was much discussed after the 2008 crisis.
