Josephine is working on better understanding the properties of high-redshift galaxies and their contribution to the reionization of the universe. She received her PhD from the university of Potsdam and the Leibniz Institute für Astrophysik Potsdam in 2020. From 2019 to 2020 she worked as a research assistant in Geneva in the team of Anne Verhamme and is now a postdoc in the "Galaxy Build-up at Cosmic Dawn" group.

She is now a postdoc in Groningen.
