Practical information

Costs

In Switzerland, university-level continuing education is not subsidised, so all costs must be borne by the student. As a public provider of continuing education, the University of Geneva is required to apply market prices. Income from continuing education covers the costs of the programmes and contributes to fund innovations in pedagogy and technology-enhanced learning.

Payment options

Programme directors and coordinators are available to discuss payment options. Please get in touch with your programme’s contact person to find out more.

Annual education grants

In Geneva, the cantonal act on continuing education encourages professional development for adults. In accordance with this act, individuals who meet certain criteria may receive an annual education grant (chèque annuel de formation) for up to three consecutive years. These grants cover the costs of courses that are useful for your professional development.
