Tissue Engineering Organoid technology Platform (TEO)

TEO provides space, state-of-the-art equipment and expertise in stem cells, organoids and tissue engineering. It assists in designing and implementing research projects and technologies.​

It fosters collaboration with Faculty of Medicine and HUG research communities, as well as contact with Swiss public and private partners.​

It facilitates the transition from laboratory discovery to medical advancement by providing consulting services, bridging the gap between innovative ideas and practical application. 

Equipment

  • P2 cell culture rooms (hoods, incubators, centrifuges, dry baths, shakers,…)​
  • Epifluorescence microscopes​
  • Freezing space at 4°, -20°, -80° and -152°C​
  • Controlled-rate freezer & LN transport box
  • Microfluidics pumps​
  • 3D printers (Allevi3, RegenHu)​
  • Multi-electrode array setup with microfluids

  • Access to three air-filtered P2 clean rooms for protected cell culture at 19°± 1°C​
  • Freezing / storage solutions ​
  • Custom-designed microfluids and organ-on-chip models​
  • 3D bioprinting and guidance on hydrogels and biomaterials​
  • Advisory: ​
    • Courses on production processes meeting GMP standards​
    • Guidance in regulatory landscapes, documentation and interaction with Swissmedic.
