Consecutive Interpreter Training

• Acquire the fundamental skillset required to successfully train consecutive interpreters

Participants will complete a two-week self-taught module on Cognitive Task Analysis in their own time prior to the start of classes.

The four thematic modules of this CAS provide a solid grounding in the skill-and-task analysis for consecutive interpreting, cover the sequencing of training materials based on an incremental approach, address the fundamental principles of note taking, and focus on the diagnosis of recurring problems including the development of targeted solutions.

• Problems and remedies in Consecutive interpreting

CHF 4'000.-

Formal consecutive interpreter training plus a minimum of five years professional experience as consecutive interpreter. (Exceptions may be granted upon request).

Any withdrawal before the start of the programme will incur an administration fee of CHF 400.-. Fees will be payable in full once the course has begun.
