Objectives

  • Acquire the skills and knowledge to provide constructive and effective feedback to learners whilst conveying the respect of basic ethical principles and guidelines

Audience

Professional interpreters wanting to integrate ethical considerations into their classroom and adapting their teaching approach to different interpreting settings, along with a thorough understanding of how to test interpreter aptitude and proficiency

Programme

The two thematic modules address ethical principal applicable to varying interpreting scenarios and settings, going beyond the traditional conference room. They draw on previously acquired knowledge about skill and task acquisition as well as learning progression to develop a better understanding of how to adjust aptitude and proficiency tests to a specific training program.

Admission criteria

Successful completion of both the CAS Consecutive Interpreter Training (CIT) and Simultaneous Interpreter Training (SIT)
