Lecture on "Scale vs. Differentiation in go to market strategy" by Moran Haviv

As part of the "Entrepreneurship startup project" course taught by Professor Roni Michaely, Ms. Moran Haviv will give a lecture on “Product Management”. The Lecture will take place on Friday 27 September at 9:00 in Uni Pignon S 104. It is open to all.

Moran Haviv's address will focus on "Scale vs. Differentiation in go to market strategy".  By now, marketplaces are among the highest-growing internet startups around. They sought to match suppliers of assets for rent, physical products, or services with customers demanding them. Among the most notable marketplaces are Airbnb, Etsy, and Uber. Maintaining the fast pace of growth was depending on the quality of their network more than on their market differentiation or unique value proposition. In this session, participants will learn about the network effect and its importance in “go to market “ of two sided platforms, and what is the role of differentiation and unique value proposition in massive quick growth act.

Moran Haviv leads incubations for Microsoft at the Israeli Research & Development center. Prior to that she led strategic initiatives in areas of shopping experience’s innovation. She also worked as VP product for social, Mobile and IoT commerce for Sears Holdings Loyalty program Shop Your Way. She has 17 years of experience in the high tech industry leveraging technology and creative thinking, to create products that touch people and make an impact. She led ventures from incubation to mature products that claims dozens of millions of loyal users.
