Travel grants
We would like to open this conference to early-career researchers who may not have the financial opportunity to attend it otherwise. Please find below 1) the criteria according to which we will assess the applications and 2) documents we require from you. The grant can cover your trip and accommodation up to CHF1, 000.
1) Selection Criteria
- We mainly want to support mainly doctoral students or postdoctoral fellows. In specific cases, we can support other scholars who would like to travel from outside of the European Union and do not have conference funds.
- We will favour students and fellows who cannot benefit from financial support to travel to our conference or who receive insufficient support for long-distance travel.
- The submitted abstract must align with the objectives of the conference.
- It must be positively evaluated by the scientific committee (aim of study, research design, and preliminary results).
2) Required Documents
- If you are a doctoral student or postdoctoral fellow, please provide a letter from your institution or note from your supervisor proving your enrolment.
- We also need a letter from your home institution explaining the full or partial lack of financial support.
- Of course, you will have to submit an abstract like all other prospective participants.
- We also expect a CV of up to 5 pages, including your track record.
- Please provide a cover letter of up to 300 words in which you justify your interest in the conference and the relevance of this conference for your research project and career.
- Eventually, we ask you to send us a provisional budget encompassing information about your travel expenses and accommodation needs. Unfortunately, we cannot consider other costs.
