Call for Proposals: G•(IST) 2026

We invite proposals for one-week mini-workshops

Fields and Themes. Workshops should focus on one or more of the following fields:

  • Theoretical Physics
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics

Interdisciplinary themes are highly encouraged and may include other scientific fields, provided they maintain a connection to at least one of the core areas listed above. Venue. The workshops will be held at the beautiful Villa Boninchi (details here), which accommodates up to 20 participants. G•IST will cover housing in Eaux-Vives and local expenses for external participants, as well as lunch catering for all attendees. We recommend a roughly even balance between local (University of Geneva) and external participants.

Available Dates. The following weeks are available for workshops in 2025:

  • September 1-5
  • September 22–26
  • September 29–October 3
  • October 20–24

Proposal Requirements. Applications are light and should include:

1. A half-page description of the workshop theme.

2. A list of organizers (at least one organizer must be affiliated with UNIGE).

3. A preliminary list of participants.

Proposals should be sent to charlotte.guarino(at)unige.ch with gist(at)unige.ch in CC, by January 15th, 2025.
