Research Data

The University of Geneva supports and encourages responsible and transparentresearch data management throughout whole data life cycle according to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Re-usable). "Research data" are all factual records derived from observation, experimentation or derived from existing sources that are used as the primary source for research and needed to validate research results.

In order to foster cultural change towards an open and shared science, new services and IT infrastructures need to be implemented. Management of scientific data is thus optimized and made accessible in the long term to the scientific community and, more broadly, to society. Researchers also need to be accompanied and supported in this cultura change.
