I am a PhD assistant in the Environmental Physical Chemistry group at the F.-A. Forel Department of Environmental and Water Sciences at the University of Geneva. My research focuses on the behaviour of nanoplastics in environmental and biological matrices of increasing complexity. In particular, I study how physico-chemical properties influence their stability, transport, transformations and bioavailability. The aim is to better understand the mechanisms that control their fate in the environment and in living systems, as well as the potential exposure pathways for organisms.

Before starting my PhD, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, with a specialisation in water sciences, resources, management and society, at the University of Geneva. My Master's thesis, carried out within the Environmental Physical Chemistry group, dealt with the behaviour of nanoplastics in biological media — a topic I am now pursuing in my doctoral work.
