Amirreza is a senior researcher at the Renewable Energy Systems (RES) group of the University of Geneva. His research focuses on improving the accuracy of the energy system model D-EXPANSE across European countries as part of the Swiss National Science Foundation project "Accuracy." Amirreza obtained his PhD from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2022, where he developed self-learning frameworks based on Deep Reinforcement Learning for the optimal operation of energy systems in buildings.
