Selina is a postdoctoral researcher in the Renewable Energy Systems (RES) group at the University of Geneva. Her research focuses on identifying potentials of energy communities in urban Swiss municipalities using modelling-based techniques and participating in a model inter-comparison on the Swiss energy transition until 2050 as part of the SWEET EDGE project. Prior to joining the RES group in May 2025, Selina conducted her doctoral studies in Energy and Process Control at the University of Oviedo, with international mention related to research stays at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Previous research includes optimization models and power flow simulations to evaluate the techno-economic impact of diverse energy community configurations, and regulatory proposals to guide power grid users to more cost-reflective and grid-serving energy decisions.
