Simple ligand, catalyst and conditions: The combination of readily-prepared pyridylmonooxazolines (pymox) ligands and [CpRu(CH₃CN)₃][PF₆] affords a regio- and enantioselective decarboxylative etherification of allyl aryl carbonates (see scheme). This is the first successful example of this type of etherification reaction.
