Reproducibility Day 2025
On November 14th, 2025 we hosted a full day dedicated to open science (OS) and reproducible research!
We are looking back to a successful first Reproducibility Day at UNIGE!
The whole day was accessible online and in person. We startet the day with a series of talks on Open Science, transparency and reproducibility. We were happy to have Open Science expert Prof. Dr. Malte Elson (University of Bern) join us, who have a talk titled “Preregistration in Psychological Science: Saviour, Vapourware, or Straightjacket?" that sparked many discussions. We also thank the library of the University of Geneva, who presented their services and existing tools to help incorporate reproducible practices within your own research at UNIGE.
Followed by a networking lunch break, discussing reproducibility over good food, we started into a productive afternoon session. Instructors from the Center for Reproducible Science and Research Synthesis at the University of Zürich gave an enaging hands-on workshop “Reproducible Research Workflows with Quarto and R - Getting Started”.
We are looking back to a successful day and thank everyone who participated.
We would express our gratitude to the Fonds Général of the University of Geneva, as well as the Center for Reproducible Science and Research Synthesis for funding this day.
