Dr. Selin Yilmaz joined the Chair for Energy Efficiency at University of Geneva as post-doctoral researcher in July 2017. The focus of her research at University of Geneva is on scenario modelling related to electricity consumption in buildings, including disaggregation of load curves in geographical terms, by sector and by usage. She did her Ph.D. at the London-Loughborough (LoLo) EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Energy Demand (UCL & Loughborough University) in United Kingdom. Selin’s doctoral research dealt with the development of a high-resolution residential electricity demand model to provide insights into the share available for flexible demand shifting. She is a member of the IEA Annex 66 on the “Definition and Simulation of Occupant Behaviour in Buildings”. She has M.Sc. on Renewable Energy Science and Technology from Ecole Polytechnique in France where she worked on organic photovoltaics. She graduated in Chemical Engineering at the Middle East Technical University in Turkey.
