Giulia Gonzales

I am an anthropologist and I have worked mostly on issues of mobility and immobility, (force)migration, crisis, everyday politics and political imaginaries, pastoral issues in representations, belonging and its connections with emotions.

I am currently working on HUMEPI as a Marie Slowdoska-Curie Fellow. I will analyse the emotional impact that receiving uneven aid triggers in the aid-receiving refugee population, and how these emotional engagements shape the intimacy of refugees’ families and their political response to the humanitarian apparatus.
