Presentation

First stage of basic legal training, this programme provides a general legal education.

The programme focuses mainly on Swiss law but also includes international law, European law and some social sciences. The programme usually lasts six semesters.

OPTION COURSES (3 credits/courses)

The Faculty of Law has two special, fast-track Bachelor of Laws programmes:

  1. The special Bachelor of Laws programme (180 credits) for graduates with a full education in foreign law.

The Bachelor's degree in Law (180 credits) for graduates with a full degree in foreign law is a Bachelor's degree in Law, with equivalencies based on previous university studies. To be admitted, candidates must have obtained a full degree in Law from a foreign university recognised by our university, which must have been obtained within the last 10 years. Applications are then evaluated and reviewed for decision.

In addition, candidates must also meet the enrolment requirements of the University of Geneva.

This programme is normally a full-time, two-year course.
