Shuangshuang Zhou joined the Chair for Energy Efficiency of the Institute of Environmental Sciences at the University of Geneva as a visiting Ph.D. student in July 2022. Her research, as part of the Odyssee(-MURE) project, focuses on evaluating and comparing China’s energy efficiency progress by sector and relating this progress to the observed trends in energy consumption.

Before joining the University of Geneva, she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Information Management and Information System and her Master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). As a member of the Center for Energy Environmental Management and Decision-making, she worked on Energy systems modeling and analysis (especially renewables).
