Re-enrollment

Who is affected?

Who is affected by the re-enrollment process?

All former UNIGE students who wish to resume their studies at the UNIGE, in the same faculty/institute/center or in another one.

A "former student" is any person who has already been registered at the UNIGE in the past (even for a few weeks or a single semester) in a basic training course (bachelor/master/complementary certificate) or in an advanced training course (doctorate/certificate of specialization); these persons have therefore confirmed their registration, received a student card, etc.

This also applies to former UNIGE students who are currently registered at another Swiss university and wish to return to study at the UNIGE.

Who is not affected by the re-enrollment process?

  • Participants in the UNIGE continuing education program, including those enrolled in a MAS.
  • Post‑doctoral students from outside Europe who have been registered at the UNIGE in the context of their post‑doc
  • Former exchange students at UNIGE
  • Former students who have come to follow a course or discipline at the UNIGE while being registered at another Swiss university.

In such cases, an application for registration as a new student must be made within the required time limit.
