Jade Wang Szilas is a Senior Adviser in Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) Design at the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education, specialising in instructional design and the digital transformation of continuing education programmes. She is responsible for the Moodle HOP platform and leads the design and development of e-Learning solutions, as well as the development of teams’ digital skills. She also contributes to the monitoring and implementation of educational innovations. In addition, she is a member of the EDEN Fellow Council within the European Distance and E-Learning Network (Digital Learning Europe).
She holds a double PhD in Language Sciences (Inalco, Paris) and French as a foreign language (FLE,University of Geneva) and has over 20 years of experience in digital language and culture education. She leads and coordinates several MOOCs, including Kit de contact en langues orientales: chinois (Inalco); Initiation to the Dongba Script, an international collaboration (University of Geneva, Inalco, and BLCU) to preserve an endangered pictographic script; and Didactique du FLE dans une perspective francophone (University of Geneva and OIF), which trains French as a foreign language teachers worldwide.
