Jade Wang Szilas
Jue Wang-Szilas is a Senior Advisor in Technology-Enhanced Learning at the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education. In this role, she provides consulting service to the transformation, elaboration and delivery of the Continuing Education programmes in e-Learning format and develops the digital skills of teaching and coordination staff.
She holds a double PhD in Language Science from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Inalco, Paris) and in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) from the University of Geneva, plus a MA in Education (Language Education and Curriculum) in China. She has more than 20 years of expertise in the field of language-culture education with digital technology.
Meanwhile, she is an Associate Researcher at the Faculty of Humanities and the Confucius Institute of the University of Geneva and at the PLIDAM research team of Inalco. Her scientific work can be found on the Academia website.
She is Co-author and Coordinator of the MOOC "Kit de contact en langues orientales: chinois" of Inalco. She is currently Co-author and Executive Director of a MOOC project "Initiation of Dongba script" undertaken by the University of Geneva, Inalco and the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU, China). The MOOC aims to offer an initiation to the last "living" pictographic script in the world, threatened with extinction, and to contribute to its preservation.
