Jue Wang Szilas is a Technology-Enhanced Learning adviser at the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education, specialising in instructional design for professional training programmes. When learning goals must be achieved within the time and geographical constraints of today's world, she leverages technology in a robust and innovative way—whether through e-learning modules, learning platforms, or synchronous and asynchronous communication tools. Technology is never left on its own but is always closely interwoven with human communication and intercultural exchange. She advises on digital transformation, guiding the design, development, and delivery of professional education programs while enhancing digital skills among teaching and coordination staff. In 2024, she was named EDEN Fellow by the European Distance and E-Learning Network in recognition of her contributions.

She holds a double PhD in Language Sciences (Inalco, Paris) and French as a foreign language (FLE,University of Geneva) and has over 20 years of experience in digital language and culture education. She leads and coordinates several MOOCs, including Kit de contact en langues orientales: chinois (Inalco); Initiation to the Dongba Script, an international collaboration (University of Geneva, Inalco, and BLCU) to preserve an endangered pictographic script; and Didactique du FLE dans une perspective francophone (University of Geneva and OIF), which trains French as a foreign language teachers worldwide. An Associate Researcher at the University of Geneva and PLIDAM (Inalco), her scientific work is available on Academia.edu.
