After completing her law studies, Sophie was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2013. Subsequently, she embarked on a doctoral programme and joined the University of Lausanne (UNIL) as a research and teaching assistant. In this role, she conducted research and prepared teaching materials in the field of human rights and environmental law, followed by several years working for international organisations and NGOs (UNEP, UNITAR, IUCN, and others) in the field of environmental treaty negotiations. During this period, Sophie was involved in developing training materials for members of state environmental agencies.
Sophie has been working with the University of Geneva for several years, providing support and expertise in public law. She holds a doctorate in law from UNIL and a Master's degree in International and European Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. In addition to having published scientific articles, she has collaborated on several reports for policymakers about institution-building.
