Teaching, research, and key highlights in the 2025 Annual Report
The Geneva School of Economics and Management has published its 2025 Annual Report, offering an overview of the School’s activities, commitments, and developments in Teaching, Research, and Societal Impact.
In 2025, the GSEM consolidated its academic foundations while preparing for its next strategic phase. The year was marked by a leadership transition with the appointment of Professor Salvatore Di Falco as Dean, ensuring continuity and renewed momentum in a context of geopolitical uncertainty, technological change, and increasing environmental and economic complexity.
The School maintained stable enrollment with 1,545 students across Bachelor, Master, Doctoral, and Executive programs, supported by a highly international student body (47% holding a foreign diploma). Teaching evolved significantly, notably through the proactive integration of generative artificial intelligence, the expansion of experiential learning, and continued pedagogical innovation.
Research excellence remained a core strength of the GSEM. Faculty members published 19 articles in top‑tier journals, secured grants from national and European funding agencies, organized 123 research seminars, workshops, and brown bags, and received multiples awards and nominations strengthening the School’s academic visibility and impact.
The year also marked an important milestone in the School’s future with the laying of the foundation stone of the new university building at Quai Vernets, which will host the GSEM from 2029. This modern, sustainable facility will support growing student numbers and reinforce the School’s integration within Geneva’s academic, economic, and international ecosystem.
The Annual Report highlights advancements in teaching, research, and innovation; showcases achievements of faculty, students, and partners; and invites readers to revisit the key moments that shaped the School’s year.
