Program Governance

1. The governance of the Horizon académique program is placed under the responsibility of a Strategic committee composed of ten members, selected among the program's partner institutions.

2. Its composition is as follows:

·         One member of the UNIGE Rectorate (Presiding) ;

·         The UNIGE Integration Delegate ;

·         A representative of the Ecole de langue et civilization française (ELCF) or Maison des langues at UNIGE ;

·         A representative of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland-Geneva (HES-SO Geneva) ;

·         A representative of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) ;

·         A representative of the Bureau de l’intégration et de la citoyenneté (BIC) of the Canton of Geneva ;

·         A representative of the Hospice général (HG) ;

·         A representative of the Office pour l’orientation, la formation professionnelle et continue  (OFPC) of the Canton of Geneva ;

·         A representative of the Alumni Association of the Horizon académique program ;

·         A representative of the Conférence universitaire des associations d’étudiant.e.x.s (CUAE) of UNIGE. 

3. The members of the Strategic Committee are appointed to this position for a renewable term of two years. Each member appoints a substitute in case of absence.

4. The Strategic Committee is chaired by the President, who is responsible for its coordination. The President has the casting vote in the event of a tie.

5. Committee decisions are made by a simple majority of voting members. Committee decisions are valid if at least six members are present.

6. The strategic committee has the following responsibilities:

·         Establishes and approves the program's strategy and budgets;

·         Establishes the program's admission criteria;

·         Makes all decisions necessary for the proper functioning of the program, particularly with regard to admission and elimination;

·         Establishes program rules and ensures their application;

·         Designates the members in charge of managing operational issues.
