After an initial training in the laboratories of the late Prof. John A. Osborn (University of Strasbourg, France), Clément Mazet carried out his thesis work under the supervision of Prof. Lutz H. Gade at the same University (PhD in 2002). He completed his education with a first postdoctoral experience in the group of Prof. Andreas Pfaltz at the University of Basel (Switzerland – 2003-2005). He next joined the laboratories of Prof. Eric N. Jacobsen as a Marie Curie Fellowat Harvard University (USA – 2006-2007). In November 2007, he was appointed to an independent junior position at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), where he develops a research program focused on mechanistic and synthetic chemistry with emphasis on all aspects of selective catalysis. In recognition of his work, he received a Swiss National Foundation Assistant Professorship (2011), the Zasshi-kai Lectureship Award from the University of Tokyo (2012) and the Werner Prize from the Swiss Chemical Society (2013). He was appointed Associate Professor in 2014 and promoted to Full Professor in 2021.
