Mathematics

Based in Zurich, Dr Etienne is currently a Senior Nat Cat Specialist at Schroders Capital. He brings experience from previous roles at Secquaero Advisors AG, AXIS Reinsurance Europe and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO in Geneva). Dr Etienne holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences, a Diploma in Environmental Sciences and a Degree in Mathematics. In parallel, he completed a Certificate in Geomatics and a Certificate for the Assessment and Management of Geological and Climate related Risk (CERG-C) from the University of Geneva.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's in Financial Engineering from EPFL, François Pagano joined Société Générale, first as an intern in Paris, then as a Trader in London. Building on this initial experience, he continued his academic journey at the University of Geneva, where he obtained a PhD in Mathematics. He is now a Trader on the energy market at Alpiq.
