The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Western Switzerland (ISPSO) is a centre of excellence at the University of Geneva dedicated to education, research and innovation in pharmaceutical sciences. Established in 2004 following the merger of the schools of pharmacy of Geneva and Lausanne, ISPSO has become a major academic and public health actor in Western Switzerland, internationally recognised for the quality of its programmes and its multidisciplinary research.
The Institute offers comprehensive, research-driven education ranging from bachelor’s to doctoral level, including master’s degrees, postgraduate programmes and a broad continuing education offer. Its research activities cover the full pathway of medicines, from fundamental research to clinical application, in close collaboration with hospitals, industry and other health professions. ISPSO is also engaged in humanitarian pharmacy, contributing to the development of safe, accessible and sustainable therapeutic solutions on an international scale.
