Getting around Geneva
Hotels in Geneva are providing guests with a free ticket for public transport for the duration of their stay. Geneva is a very compact city served by an excellent bus system. Information is available at the airport or at the TPG office located in Geneva's main train station. Please note, within Geneva, Bus drivers do not sell nor control the bus tickets; instead, a brigade of inspectors do make spot checks. Failure to produce a valid ticket results in a fine of at least CHF 100.00. If unable to pay the fine on the spot, your id documents are requested. Failure to show the id results in a visit to the police station.
