SciFilmIt : Hackathon on science storytelling through films. Applications open

SciFilmIt is an association that brings the world of science to the public using film. After several hackathons in Zurich, Lausanne and Basel, the event will take place in Geneva for the second time.

During three days, several teams will join forces to create informative and inspiring films. All films are posted on SciFilmIt's YouTube page and cover a wide variety of scientific fields. Currently the association is welcoming applications of scientists, science enthusiasts and filmmakers, because they are the ones making the event what it is : a ground for creative science communication, with a common passion for teamwork and transdisciplinary co-creation.

Throughout the hackathon, participants will be mentored by experts in storytelling, science communication, team-work and filmmaking. The films will then be taken to the public cinema event, where they will be seen by nearly half a thousand pairs of curious eyes. The hackathon will take place from the 24th to the 26th of September 2021 at Campus Biotech.
