IDEA (Instruction, Development, Education and Acquisition of knowledge) articulates issues of learning and development from the perspective of school interventions and development of learning curricula. Through the association of quantitative experimental studies and qualitative approaches, the researcher conducted focuses on cross-disciplinary issues: the role of prior knowledge and analogy in learning and representation construction, student and teacher cognition, cognitive flexibility and the development of critical reasoning, social interactions, learning difficulties, differentiation, evaluating learning from the point of view of teaching and external measures.
