Guilleman Nolwen

 

 

Nolwen is a research and teaching assistant in International Environmental law at the Institute of Environmental Sciences, working on the interaction between science and international environmental regulation in the field of climate change.

She obtained her bilingual European LL.B. in Law at the Lille Catholic University (France), before specializing in environmental law, sustainable development, and food security during her LL. M. at Université Laval (Québec, Canada). She then completed a Master’s degree in environmental sciences at the University of Geneva, to conduct research on use of IPCC reports in climate litigation landmark cases.

 

Thesis

 

Research interests

Nolwen is interested in the importance of science in the multilateral climate change regime. She examines the role of science in national, regional, and international climate litigation as a global body of jurisprudence. She focuses primarily on the use of IPCC reports and their relative weight compared to other scientific work. Her work is supervised by Prof. Mbengue.
