Visiting professorship

The program aims to strengthen academic staff expertise across 4EU+ universities. Visiting Professors are expected to spend a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 3 months at the host university, and they are encouraged to engage in joint projects with staff, students, and doctoral candidates from both host and home universities, expanding the research community. 

UNIGE candidates must check that they have no teaching or research obligations at UNIGE during their stay(s) abroad.

internal call

The call aims to strengthen academic collaboration between UNIGE and other 4EU+ members. Principal investigators from UNIGE will implement their projects within the framework of 4EU+ Flagships with colleagues from at least two other 4EU+ universities. 

Grants will be awarded up to a maximum of 40,000 CHF per project for a duration of 12 to 24 months. Successfully completed projects can submit request for additional support offered at the alliance level

Minigrants with Charles University

Charles University provides mini-grants to project teams comprising academics from Charles University and at least two other 4EU+ universities.

For newly formed teams, the maximum amount of financial support is set at 300,000 CZK (approximately 12,000 EUR) ; for existing project teams, the funding support is up to 250,000 CZK (approximately 10,000 EUR) to finalize achieved outputs and fulfil the strategy of long-term sustainability of the project. All projects must be thematically connected to one of the 4EU+ Flagships.

For students and young researchers, the student mini-grants offer up to CZK 150,000 (approximately 6,100 EUR) to initiate their projects. Each project must involve at least three 4EU+ member universities, with a student from Charles University as the applicant.

Key thematic areas include but are not limited to artificial intelligence and sustainability. Innovative ideas in all areas are welcome.
