We offer: A position in the exciting new context of the “Cognitive Immunity” Research program, run by the TCSL Lab in collaboration with the Prof. Andrea Serino (MySpace Lab, Lausanne) and the groups led by Profs. Gérard Eberl and Pierre-Marie Lledo (Institute Pasteur, Paris).
The project is funded by a SINERGIA grant by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and aims at investigating the crosstalk between the neural and the immune systems orchestrating anticipatory responses to potential immune threats presented in Virtual Reality.

We look for: A strongly motivated and enthusiastic candidate, with a team-focused mindset and able to think “out of the box”. She/he should be curious, rigorous, hard-worker and well-organized. Previous experience in multiparametric flow cytometry analyses, cellular and molecular biology and cell culture would be desirable. Good English skills are mandatory, good French skills would be appreciated.

Our team: A multidisciplinary team, including senior scientists, post-docs, PhD students and bioinformaticians with strong and highly recognized expertise in the field of immunology.

Our lab: Is situated in the Department of Pathology and Immunology at the University of Geneva, and has close collaborations with national and international partners. This represents an ideal environment to conduct basic, translational, and interdisciplinary research.

Short Bio

Camilla Jandus, MD, PhD, is tenure-track Assistant Professor and Head of the “Targeting of cytokine secreting cell group (TCSL)” at the Department of Pathology and Immunology (PATIM) at the University of Geneva.

Camilla Jandus graduated in 2003 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bern, Switzerland, after a training at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and then obtained her MD thesis from the Institute of Pathology in Bern. From 2004 to 2008 she performed her MD-PhD training at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Lausanne, in the group of Prof P. Romero. Then, she joined for a 2-year post-doctoral training the Pharmacology Institute in Bern. In 2012, she was appointed Associate Investigator at the Ludwig Center for Cancer Research at the University of Lausanne, where from 2015-2018 she was supported by an Ambizione Fellowship from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). In 2019 she has been appointed SNSF PRIMA Assistant Professor at the Department of Oncology, University of Lausanne and from January 2020 she has joined PATIM as tenure-track Assistant Professor.
