After completing her doctoral studies in literature at the University of Lausanne and spending a year at the University of Michigan and the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, Ms. Ruffa returned to UNIL, where she worked for more than nine years with the Vice Dean of Research at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (SSP) on strategic and administrative aspects of her department. She was also responsible for setting up a support service to help the faculty's more than 400 researchers access external funding.
She has been an advisor to the rectorate since December 2021, and is currently working on issues related to open science, research strategy, research ethics, and social cohesion from the perspective of precariousness, employability, and career paths.
