The Cat is Out of the Qubit

IBM and the Science Innovation Hub are proud to host The Cat is Out of the Qubit, an event designed to demystify quantum computing and make it accessible to everyone. In the framework of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025, this initiative aims to bridge the knowledge gap surrounding quantum technologies by presenting them in an engaging and approachable way.

Despite its increasing prominence, quantum computing is often perceived as abstract and overly complex. This event challenges that perception by introducing the fundamentals in a clear, intuitive format. The programme features three concise keynote presentations delivered by distinguished speakers from IBM, the University of Geneva and CERN Quantum Technology Initiative, followed by a dynamic panel discussion where attendees can explore practical applications and ask questions.

The event is tailored specifically for university students and members of the general public with no prior knowledge of quantum computing, making it an ideal opportunity for curious minds to discover this rapidly evolving field.

The evening will conclude with an aperitif and networking session, offering participants the opportunity to continue the conversation with speakers and other attendees in a relaxed atmosphere.
