Explore a range of scientific career pathways in our two-hour workshop, « Scientific careers: Academic, entrepreneurial and industrial paths ». This session is designed to provide an overview of various career paths available to scientists. It begins with an informative introduction by experienced professionals who will discuss the range of opportunities in both academic and entrepreneurial sectors, including insights into the workings of startups and technological enterprises, alongside the unique challenges and advantages each career path offers. In addition to these practical insights, the workshop will also feature theoretical presentations from the Equality Commission, the SSR, and the OPI, offering a well-rounded perspective on career development. Following the introduction and presentations, the workshop will include a semi-guided networking session, complemented by pizza to enhance the discussions.
