Senior Scientist at the Institute of Environmental Sciences of the University of Geneva since 2015, Elliot Romano works on the carbon content of consumed electricity. His scientific research focuses on the energy sector regulation, optimum tarification principles, as well as on incentive mechanisms for the development of renewable energies. After his Ph.D in network economics at HEC Lausanne, his career in the electricity sector led him to work not only for large utilities in France and Switzerland, but also for the French Energy Regulatory in Paris.
During the second semester 2021, Elliot will be on a six-month leave as a visiting scholar at the Urban Energy System lab of the EMPA.
