Thrombolysis in a patient-specific artery

Based on the open-source Palabos library, A fibrin clot (red) occludes an brain artery of an ischemic stroke patient. The thrombolytic procedure consists of the injection of a fibrinolytic chemical (green), that once transported to the thrombus, will initiate its breakdown. This allows to reperfuse the brain, and hopefully cure the patient.
