« A truly high-quality program that combines depth, reflection, and concrete tools for leadership. I particularly appreciated the dynamic facilitation and the enriching exchanges with inspiring colleagues across the UNIGE faculty spectrum.» Roland Bouffanais (Associate Professor, GSI and Faculty of Science)

« I was very pleasantly surprised by the EMBO training. I discovered thoughtful, nuanced and easy-to-implement tools that help facilitate teamwork. I also had the opportunity to meet two trainers who were highly available, attentive, and well aware of the academic context, as well as many colleagues working in other departments. I highly recommend this experience! »  Lucie Nizard (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Humanities)

«The EMBO leadership course is a great resource for any early- to mid-career researcher who has leadership/management responsibilities. It gave me a lot of ready-to-apply tools and practical tips how to manage a group in general and what to do about specific problems, and I liked a lot that it also gave insights into scientific work done about leadership and resources to read further. Beyond that, it was very nice to exchange with peers from other departments and faculties within UNIGE. The two course leaders were fantastic and could answer a lot of questions and although the course was really intense, it was fun! » Isabella Eckerle (Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine)

« We spend years training to become experts in our field. Comparatively, a 3-day leadership course is a tiny investment, yet an essential survival kit for any new academic role. » Valérie Gabelica (Full Professor, Faculty of Science)

« The EMBO leadership course was both well-conceived and well-executed. The trainers really tailored the content to an academic audience and were very engaging throughout. An added bonus was the opportunity to meet and learn from colleagues from different disciplines. I cannot recommend this course highly enough. »  Giovanni Gellera (Assistant Professor, IHR and Faculty of Theology)

« The EMBO Leadership and Management course taught me many things I didn't even know existed. I believe that when you transition from postdoc to group leader, you enter a completely new world. This course  course definitely provides a set of tools to handle most of the challenges you encounter as a group leader, and is at the same time a wonderful opportunity for self-growth and reflection. I would absolutely recommend it to all research group leaders. » Ricardo J. Fernández-Terán (SNSF Ambizione Fellow / Junior Principal Investigator, Faculty of Science)

« The EMBO course provided valuable, hands-on tools for leading research teams effectively. I particularly appreciated how it deepened my emotional awareness and linked it to practical, evidence-based methods for managing science and scientists. » Katarzyna Wac (Full Professor, Geneva School of Economics and Management)
