Born in 1985 in Paris (France), Neïl Beloufa lives and works in Paris (France). He studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris; the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris; California Institute of the Arts, Valencia; Cooper Union, New York and Le Fresnoy–Studio National des Arts Contemporain, Tourcoing, France.
His work has been the subject of monographic exhibitions in France and abroad, notably at K11, Shanghai, 2016; Museum of Modern Art, New York, 2016; Schinkel Pavilion, Berlin, 2015; Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, 2014; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, 2013; Palais de Tokyo, Paris, 2018; the Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt, 2018; HangarPirelli Bicocca, Milan, 2021 as well as Secession, Vienna, 2022.
Neïl Beloufa also took part in the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Shanghai in 2014, the 55th International Contemporary Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 2013, the Biennial of Contemporary Art in Lyon in 2013 and the 58th International Contemporary Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 2019.
In 2021, Neïl Beloufa has founded the company EBB, a decentralized creative studio that focuses on technology-oriented contemporary art, immersive experiences and online experiments. Led by a team of artists, curators, researchers, and developers, the studio's mission is to adapt to the fast-changing world and share access to culture and technology with a wider audience.
