Clelia joined the Department of Political Science of the University of Geneva in September 2024 as a doctoral researcher and is also a teaching assistant at the Global Studies Institute (GSI). She holds a double Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Applied Languages from the Université Catholique de Lyon, as well as a Master’s degree in International Relations from LUMSA University in Rome. She is pursuing her PhD under the supervision of Professor Thomas Sattler.
Her dissertation focuses on a comparative analysis of economic policies between the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and non-EU countries, with attention to citizens’ perceptions and the legitimacy of policy decisions during times of crisis.
At the GSI, Clelia teaches Politics of International Economic Relations and contributes to a course on international relations, economic politics, and legitimacy, entitled Political Legitimacy and Monetary Union in Europe.
Before starting her doctoral studies, Clelia gained three years of professional experience in Luxembourg, working at the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Her research interests include comparative politics, international relations, international and comparative political economy, fiscal and monetary policy, and the political legitimacy of the EMU.
