Biography 

 

Stanisław Szufa is a postdoctoral researcher at the Global Studies Institute (GSI) of the University of Geneva. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the AGH University of Krakow (2023), with a thesis entitled Map of Elections. Prior to joining UNIGE, he was a researcher at CNRS/LAMSADE (Paris Dauphine-PSL).

Before that he was part of the ERC-funded project “Pragmatics of Multiwinner Voting: Algorithms and Preference Data Analysis” at AGH University in Kraków, where he also earned his PhD. His work focuses on collective decision making, with particular emphasis on computational social choice, preference aggregation, and multiwinner voting.

He is the creator of the PrefSampling Python library and the Pabulib data repository, and has published at venues including IJCAI, AAAI, NeurIPS, and AAMAS. He is a co-founder of the Polish association “Science for Democracy.”
