Eugen left UNIGE in 2025 when he began a postdoctoral position on June 1, 2025, at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg, in the group of Klas Modin. His research focuses on geometric hydrodynamics, in particular on the geometric properties of time discretizations of the Euler–Zeitlin equation, which arises as a spatial discretization of the vorticity formulation of the incompressible Euler equation on the two-dimensional sphere.
