Bastien is a postdoctoral researcher in the research group of Martin J. Gander. He specializes in the fields of numerical analysis, optimization and partial differential equations (PDEs). More specifically, his research interests include topology and shape optimization, optimal control, contact mechanics, wave propagation, and iterative solvers for PDEs (especially multigrid and domain decomposition methods).
