REGISTER OF INTERESTS

Before taking up an activity outside the institution, you must determine if that activity is subject to certain requirements (reporting, authorization request, public release).

The register of interests helps you quickly make this determination through a simple questionnaire. If your activity must be reported, or if you must request authorization, the register will help you take those steps after the questionnaire.

All University employees: professors (paid or as volunteer), instructors, researchers, and administrative and technical personnel.

Activities must be evaluated before being taken up. The register of interests is available via the link provided here. Each report or authorization is valid for 12 months. After that time, the process must be renewed via the register if the activity is to continue.

Yes. Certain unpaid activities must be reported before they can be carried out. For example, taking a seat on the board of an association or foundation related to your professional field (Article 2.1 on participation in governance bodies of third-party entities). If there is any doubt, you can evaluate your activities outside UNIGE through this questionnaire in order to see if there are related obligations.

Certain activities will be made public on the UNIGE website as indicated in the plan matrix and legal bases of the register. This is the case, for example, of professors participating in the governance bodies of third-party entities (cf. RLI summary table).
