Responsible and Ethical Conduct

The Responsible and Ethical Conduct office, attached to the general secretariat, strives to prevent potential conflicts of interest between the University and external third-party entities. It also works with the University Commission for Ethical Research, in particular concerning environmental and security criteria for research projects evaluated by CUREG2.0.

Since 2021, the University of Geneva has maintained a register of interests to track interests that tie the University to external third-party entities.

This register tracks activities carried out with or for such entities by University employees. This resource is administered by the responsible and ethical conduct coordinator, in cooperation with the legal affairs service.

This register responds to the following legal requirements:

  • Requirement for full-time University instructors to report ancillary activities:

             - Article 14 of the University Act.

             - Articles 52 to 56 of the University Personnel Regulations
