Linda Maria Ratschiller Nasim est chercheuse postdoctorale dans le cadre du projet financé par le FNS Mass Death, Science and Medicine: Handling the Corpses of War in Modern Europe (1850–1960) à la Maison de l’Histoire depuis 2024. Elle est titulaire d'un master en histoire des sciences et de la médecine de l'Université de Cambridge au Royaume-Uni et d'un doctorat en histoire contemporaine de l'Université de Fribourg. Ses domaines d’intérêt comprennent l'histoire des sciences et de la médecine, l'histoire coloniale et globale, ainsi que l’histoire publique. Elle est cofondatrice du site web www.colonial-local.ch. Sa thèse de doctorat, publiée en 2023, propose une histoire enchevêtrée de l'hygiène entre l'Afrique de l'Ouest et l'Europe de 1885 à 1914. Elle met en lumière le rôle des missionnaires médicaux dans la formation de la médecine tropicale en tant que discipline scientifique et combine l'histoire religieuse, scientifique et coloniale pour analyser la généalogie de l'hygiène moderne.

Linda Maria Ratschiller Nasim is a postdoctoral researcher in the SNSF-funded project Mass Death, Science and Medicine: Handling the Corpses of War in Modern Europe (1850–1960) at the Maison de l’Histoire since 2024. She holds an MA in the History of Science and Medicine from the University of Cambridge in the UK and a PhD in Contemporary History from the University of Fribourg. Her areas of interest include the history of science and medicine, colonial and global history, as well as public history. She is a co-founder of the website www.colonial-local.ch. Her doctoral thesis, published in 2023, offers an entangled history of hygiene between West Africa and Europe from 1885 to 1914. It highlights the role of medical missionaries in shaping tropical medicine as a scientific discipline, and combines religious, scientific and colonial history to analyse the genealogy of modern hygiene.
