Valentin Mauerhofer obtained his Master degree in Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, in the group of Prof. Mikhail Shaposhnikov. He completed his master project in Stanford University, under the supervision of Prof. Leonardo Senatore, working on the effective Field Theory of Large Scale Structures. He is currently doing a PhD thesis in the Astronomy Department of the University of Geneva (Switzerland) under the supervision of Prof. Anne Verhamme and Prof. Jérémy Blaizot from the Centre de Recherche en Astrophysique de Lyon (CRAL). His domain of research is the simulation of radiative transfer in high redshift galaxies.
